Pregnancy is a special time, and it requires specialized prenatal care. We're here to keep you and your child healthy throughout your pregnancy. Prenatal services may include checkups, nutritional supplements and childbirth education.

High-risk pregnancy care

Pregnancy is a remarkable time in a woman’s life, however, it doesn’t always go as planned.

Our maternal-fetal medicine specialists are experienced in managing the full range of high-risk pregnancies, from women expecting multiple newborns, to women with life-threatening complications.

Maternity nurse navigators

At Wesley Healthcare, we know pregnancy comes with many questions and uncertainties. That is why we have nurse navigators dedicated to our maternity patients. Your nurse navigator answers your questions, helps coordinate your care and connects you to available resources. From financial questions to healthcare advice, your nurse navigator is your friend and advocate.

Your OB preadmission testing appointment

We welcome you to a special OB PAT appointment when you are in your third trimester. During this appointment, located at our Birth Care Suites, you and one of our experienced labor and delivery nurses discuss:

  • How to pre-register for your hospital stay
  • The admission process upon arrival
  • A brief health history
  • What type of birth experience you are planning to have
  • Questions about breastfeeding and bottle-feeding
  • What to expect if you are having a high-risk pregnancy
  • If you are considering doula care

Appointments are approximately 45 minutes in duration and are available Monday through Friday.

Labor and delivery

Wesley Healthcare provides two locations for labor and delivery: Wesley Women’s Hospital, which is located within Wesley Medical Center, and Wesley Birth Care Suites.

Wesley Birth Care Suites is reserved for women who have not had complications during pregnancy, and it is equipped with all the amenities you need for a healthy delivery, including operating rooms for C-sections.

All women are welcome to deliver at Wesley Women’s Hospital, and it has all the amenities of a full-service hospital for unexpected circumstances or complicated births. Wesley Women’s Hospital also offers a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where expert neonatologists care for ill or premature newborns.

Childbirth tours

We understand that becoming familiar with your childbirth center helps alleviate stress and confusion when your big day comes. While we are currently not offering in-person tours, feel free to view a guided tour video of our facilities to help you and your support partner get acquainted with our childbirth centers. The video tour may also be helpful for siblings.

Maternity classes

Wesley Healthcare is passionate about educating families throughout pregnancy and parenthood. We offer a variety of maternity classes to help you prepare for pregnancy, delivery and beyond. Due to the pandemic, all classes are being conducted online, and are being offered free of charge.

Wesley Birth Care Suites Virtual Tour

Wesley Birth Care Suites is specifically designed for women who are planning a family-centered birth. Located just north of Wesley’s main building, this facility is specifically designed to support the birth experience each expectant mother has and their newborn’s care and comfort.
