Histotripsy option for liver tumor patients added at Wesley Medical Center

Wesley Medical Center will be the first hospital in the region to offer this new way to treat liver cancer.

This novel, non-invasive therapy will offer hope to patients with liver tumors.

Wesley said since the treatment is a single procedure, it will save patients recovery time.

“Patients would have to be off work. They could come in, have a procedure, miss three or four days of work, then have some recovery from an incision and all that comes with. They won’t have that with this,” said Brian Swallow, Market VP for Surgical Services at Wesley.
